There have been nearly 1.8 million tweets about Pope Francis in the last day, according to digital advertising player and data specialist Amobee Brand Intelligence.
No small number of them have been hashtagged #pizzapope, in honor of the crafty work by New York's Bleecker Street Pizza (especially with the anchovies), which you can see above.
At any rate, using keyword algorithms to suss out whether the chatter has been positive or negative, Amobee's data suggest that the popular pontiff's visit isn't creating game-changing momentum for the Catholic Church on Twitter. So far on the social platform, sentiment around the pope has been 21 percent positive versus 12 percent negative—with 67 percent coming in as neutral.
